ROSE MARIE ANTONACCI-POLLOCK
became an associate with Michaud,
Buschmann, Mittelmark, Millian,
Blitz, Warren & Coel, P.A. in 2000.
She brought with her extensive trial
experience and expert witness skills
and concentrates her practice in
medical malpractice defense and the
representation of physicians with
licensing and administrative
complaints. Ms. Antonacci-Pollock
has been a member of the Florida Bar
since 1985.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms.
Antonacci-Pollock was appointed as
Assistant State Attorney in
Miami-Dade County by Janet Reno and
served from 1985 until 2000. Under
Ms. Reno, she served in many
positions, including the Public
Corruption and Organized Crime
Division, Division Chief, and Chief
of the Robbery and Career Criminal
Unit. In 1993, she was promoted to
the Major Crimes Division by Ms.
Reno's successor, Katherine
Fernandez Rundle. In the Major
Crimes Unit, Ms. Antonacci-Pollock
exclusively handled high profile
complex capital murder cases. She
also worked closely with
investigators and supervised the
highly publicized police
investigations into the Gianni
Versace murder, as well as the
investigation and prosecution of the
Tamiami Strangler, a serial killer
who killed six women. She was
appointed a Special Assistant United
States Attorney in the Southern
District of Florida.
Over the course of her career as a
prosecutor, Ms. Antonacci-Pollock
tried over one hundred felony jury
trials and developed an expertise in
the fields of DNA litigation and
examination of expert witnesses. She
has lectured all over the State of
Florida and the United States on
those topics for the Florida
Prosecuting Attorneys Association
and the National College of District
Attorneys, and other organizations,
and has been a frequent lecturer in
many police departments on
investigations, courtroom testimony
and handling cross-examination. She
has been on the Faculty at the
University of Florida School of Law
Prosecutor/Public Defender Trial
Advocacy Course. As an Assistant
State Attorney, she represented the
State Attorney frequently at many
civic and community functions.
Ms. Antonacci-Pollock was born in
Brooklyn, New York and raised on
Long Island. In 1976, she moved with
her family to Boca Raton, Florida.
Ms. Antonacci-Pollock attended Emory
University in Atlanta, Georgia, and
then the University of Miami, where
she received a Bachelor's Degree,
Magna Cum Laude. She attended the
University of Miami School of Law,
and received her Juris Doctor degree
in May 1985. While in law school,
she was active in the Mock Trial
Program and was chosen to represent
the University in the State
Competition. Currently, Ms.
Antonacci-Pollock is active in
church and school functions, as well
as the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation.
